189 Skilled Visa
- The most heavyweight Independent Migration Visa in Australia, the 189 Visa Class allows you your family to
- Live & Work anywhere in Australia
- Enter & Leave at will, without the need for further visas
- Access education for your children without the financial contribution element of temporary visas
- Allow for you and your family to enroll in Medicare
- Access Financial Services including the right to purchase property and apply for a mortgage
To be eligible for a 189 Visa Class a prospective applicant must:
- Have an Occupation on the Medium Long Term Strategic Skills List
- Score a minimum of 65 Points on the Australian Immigration Points Schedule
- Have competent English Skills
- Be aged under 45 by the end of the process
- Be of good character and health status
190 Skilled Visa
The 190 visa class carries the same rights and privileges as the 189 with one difference.
The 190 has an element of State Nomination, which means that a holder is expected to live and work in the Nominating State for a period of two years, after which time they are free to live and work anywhere in Australia.
By granting State Nomination prospective applicants are awarded 5 extra Immigration Points which is great news for applicants only scoring 60 points as it makes their overall application eligible for migration.
To be eligible for a 190 Visa Class a prospective applicant must:
- Have an Occupation on the Short Term Strategic Occupations List or an Occupation on the Medium Long Term Strategic Skills List
- Score a minimum of 65 Points on the Australian Immigration Points Schedule
- Be aged under 45 by the end of the process
- Have competent English Skills
- Be of good character and health status
489 Visa Skilled Visa
The 489 subclass is a visa type issued on a State by State basis and requires the holder reside in a non metropolitan area with the following benefits
- Stay in Australia for up to 4 years
- Live, work and study in a specified region of Australia
- Travel to and from Australia as many times as you want while the visa is valid
- Apply for permanent residence, if eligible, through the Skilled-Regional (Residence) visa (subclass 887)
