Gladstone Airport is a regional airport located 5km southwest of the Gladstone central business district. It has one asphalt runway that is 1,802 metres in length. The airport was first established in 1935 as a grass airstrip, and gradually expanded over the years to accommodate larger aircraft and more passengers. During World War II, it was used as a military airfield, and after the war, it became a commercial airport.
